J & D Pierce (Contracts) Ltd were awarded the structural steelwork package for the new Clydebank Leisure Centre facility, located on the bank of the River Clyde.  The project was primarily constructed of mixed structural standard and Hollow Sections Forming Trusses. Large triangular toblerone trusses were used to span over the new 25m swimming pool area.

This new leisure centre was built to replace the old Clydebank Playdrome.  The new facility includes a 25m swimming pool, teaching pool, leisure pool with waves and flume, changing facilities, a café, multi-purpose sports hall with badminton, fitness suite and dance studio together with netball, basketball, hockey and five-a-side football courts with retractable seating.  

In 2018 this project went on to win a RIAS award for its deisgn.
