J&D Pierce Shot Blasting & Painting
On completion of full fabrication we manage and control all shot-blasting and painting in-house, delivering all types of specifications. All operations are quality controlled as part of our quality system.
Steel is prepared by either pre-blasting and/or priming where large members are pre-constructed before final assembly.
Our shot-blasting and painting operations are housed in a dedicated 20,000 square foot facility which is equipped with an automated shot-blast engineering 8 wheel cleaner capable of accommodating a two metre deep by one metre wide member.
To comply with British Standard quality requirements when the steel is fabricated it is shot-blasted then painted (within the time parameters). Steel is subsequently loaded via overhead cranes onto arctic trailers, awaiting dispatch to site.
Painting to the required specification is completed by the use of a modern airless spray system.
