Learning and understanding structural steel welding.


Follow Health and Safety policies and procedures.


Reading and understanding structural drawings.


Practicing communication skills relevant to engineering and the construction industry.



Qualifications: Nat5 Maths, English, Physics or Chemistry (preferred but not essential), plus a practical subject e.g. metalwork or woodwork. More importantly, a willingness to learn and good work ethic are a priority.


Skills: Numeracy skills. Problem-solving. Excellent timekeeping. Attention to detail. Ability to listen and follow instructions. Clean, smart, and presentable. Willingness to learn. A keen interest in fabrication.


This position requires right to work and ability to commute to Glengarnock (and East Kilbride for positions with Strubeam)
