The main span truss with a length of 76m and weighing 315Te – was manufactured in our Strubeam facility, assembled onsite, and erected in one lift utilising two 600Te crawler cranes – shown below. This site was logistically challenging with just 11m laydown area, no front access and the existing stand utilised on match days. All scheduled lifts for the complete modular truss structures were fully and safely co-ordinated through “just in time” deliveries. The works were carried out within cordoned, isolated working areas to suit the site construction programme.
