The Henley Gate Bridge is a single span composite multi-girder type bridge that spans the East Suffolk Rail Line providing access to the major Henley Gate housing development.
J&D Pierce fabricated the weathering grade main girders complete with stiffeners, bearing taper-plates and shear-studs. These were fully blast cleaned. Paired girder units were assembled ready for delivery after a full trial assembly to prove that all connections were accurate. Paired Girder units were completed to meet the clients programme to meet the Christmas possession for the installation at site.
