The New Frigate Assembly Hall building spans an impressive 147m x 62m x 42m high, capable of accommodating two vessels for assembly.
The scope included the manufacture and erection of the 2000Te structure including the installation of internal crane gantries – with the incorporation of two 125T overhead cranes – providing multi-level work access platforms to allow personnel to safely access work areas of the vessel without the need for scaffolding.
The strategic placement of four mega doors, each measuring 30m x 25m, ensures easy access from both the north and south of the facility, facilitating a seamless flow of materials and efficient assembly of ship sections.
