Established in 2011, the Cladding Division was introduced to offer clients a fully integrated structural steel and envelope solution. Whether undertaking standalone projects or integrated initiatives, our team is dedicated to delivering excellence on every project. Our combined services give us additional control over critical work activities with the support of our fully trained erection, safety netting, and edge protection teams.
Our portfolio boasts a spectrum of successful projects across a range of sectors, including Infrastructure, Retail, Education, Distilleries, Refurbishment, the Motor Industry and Distribution. In addition to new build constructions, we have a strong track record in refurbishment works, including replacement of large, dilapidated roofs in live factory settings, requiring precise planning, clear communication and total adherence to safe working practices. This vast and varied experience allows us to demonstrate our commitment to quality, timeliness, and excellent client care at a competitive cost. We have a proven track record of consistent high-quality delivery on some of the UK’s largest construction projects.

Golf Entertainment Venue in Rutherglen, Scotland
One of the first of its kind, this is a new generation golf driving range with full bar and catering facilities. The project involved a large range of bespoke roofing and cladding systems, all of which we undertook.

Footbridge at Silverstone Circuit, England
The new bridge at Silverstone Circuit provides a convenient covered walkway to bridge the gap between the new trackside hotel and their international conference and exhibition centre.

Whiskey Distillery on the Isle of Islay, Scotland
The new Ardnahoe Whisky Distillery in the North Eastern side of the Isle of Islay; the ninth of its kind on Islay and the first in 15 years.
⸺ Teaninich Distillery
Whiskey Distillery in Alness, Scotland
We were challenged with this high specification project in a difficult location. There were numerous Colt vents included in our scope, requiring bespoke soakers and GRP liquid applied weather solution. We also supplied a large barrel vault opal multiwall polycarbonate rooflight, as well as the powder coated aluminium acoustic louvres. The wall construction is Europanel F5 non-combustible panel system.

Retail Park in Loughton, England
A striking retail development with Kingspan roof and wall cladding, brick slip façade cladding, and feature lantern fascias.

Retail Park in Glasgow, Scotland
A large new retail park development involving 18,000m2 of roof and cladding, membrane lined gutters and powder coated aluminium parapet cappings.

Harper Collins Distribution Warehouse in Robroyston, Scotland
This is the new distribution warehouse for Harper Collins for which J&D Pierce undertook the full envelope cladding works which were all completed on a tight, phased programme. The main warehouse roof utilised 50,000m2 of Euroclad built up insulated barrel vault roofing. The walls are a mix of Kingspan Microrib, in vertical single length 16m long sheets, and Euroclad built up insulated wall cladding. The office roof is Sika Trocal single ply membrane over a tapered rockwool insulation scheme.

Car Dealership in Ayr, Scotland
An incredibly sharp aesthetic with a 3,000m2 roof area was completed in a mix of Tata Trisomet and Sika single ply membrane. There is 1,000m2 Tata Trisomet wall cladding, and 800m2 Feature aluminium rainscreen cassette cladding panels – Sunshine Grey / Champagne Silver.
⸺ Harley Davidson
Motorcycle Dealership in Hillington, Scotland
West Coast Harley Davidson is one of two motorcycle dealerships adjacent to one another in Hillington, which were constructed simultaneously. This was clad in vertically laid secret fix Kingspan Micro-Rib panels with powder coated aluminium cappings. The feature fin in corporate trimming with the Harley Davidson logo prominently displayed, is an imposing sight, visible to all traffic on the busy M8 motorway through Glasgow.
Our scope of work included both cladding and structural steelwork.
⸺ Western HVDC Link
HVDC Link connecting Hunterston, Scotland and Flintshire, Wales
J&D Pierce undertook all structural steel and cladding at both sites on this large scale, complex infrastructure project. Roofing works involved the supply and installation of:
- 28,000m2 Kingzip standing seam roof.
- 3,000m2 Sika Single ply membrane roof.
- 31,000m2 Tata composite external cladding.
- 4,200m2 Longspan internal structural cladding panels.
- 20,200m2 internal steel linings to walls and soffits.
⸺ Shetland HVDC Link
HVDC Link connecting Kergord, Shetland Islands and Wick, Caithness
This is another large infrastructure project for which J&D Pierce provided the structural steel and cladding. Our cladding scope included:
- 9,000m2 Euroclad Organic Patina aluminium standing seam roof eaves rolled in single 65m lengths.
- 11,500m2 Euroclad mineral wool core composite Roofspan sheeting, with each panel installed via crane and vacuum lifting equipment.
- 17,000m2 200mm thick Rockspan Ultima to external envelope and feature fins fitted from a 360 Roto telehandler and Clad-Boy vacuum lifting equipment.
- 4,700m2 Internal Euroclad Firemaster partition cladding.
⸺ St Clement’s R C Primary School
Primary School in Dundee, Scotland
This project was clad with 4,800m2 aluminium standing seam roof over D153 solid and perforated structural steel deck, complete with feature powder coated aluminium fascias and soffits.

Health Centre in Glasgow, Scotland
The walls are clad in secret fix micro zinc aluminium interlocking wall plank system.
⸺ Velux Factory
Velux Manufacturing Facility in Glenrothes, Scotland
The roof is aluminium standing seam, with multiple welded soakers and a variety of Velux rooflights. The walls are finished in Russwood timber cladding.
