⸺ Preconstruction
Our highly experienced team of preconstruction specialists ensure that each project is planned to the highest standard. They take responsibility for the planning and management of site activities in the lead up to construction, including erection sequence, risk assessments, scheduling, subcontract product coordination, and compliance, with support from our SHEQ team

Our design, pre-construction, and construction departments work together closely with our clients to ensure our site programmes are completed to the highest standard and with client needs at the forefront. Our comprehensive vertical operations can minimise costs, add value, and reduce carbon output on even the most complex projects.
At our in-house Training Academy, we train our operators regularly, ensuring the latest and highest standards are achieved. We have minimum requirements for our teams to support their vast experience, ensuring the safest and most efficient service for our clients.
Management: NVQ/SVQ Level 4/5 Certification in Construction Management

⸺ Integrated Services
J&D Pierce offer fully integrated services as add-ons to our erection packages. These services allow for more efficient co-ordination and management of combined steel frame and floor construction. These services include:

We procure and fit proprietary cold rolled systems, often specified by the structural engineer or architect. We offer an experienced design service to rationalise and review cold rolled system design.
We supply and install precast flooring, stairs, and lift shafts.
We can provide a lifting and locating service, using our own cranes and labour, for items such as precast and metal decking supply-only packages.
We provide the design and installation of metal decking solutions. Placing deck on site, we can also install deck shear studding within our overall steel package role. The client benefits from both the integrated steel and decking co-ordination, drawing and site co-ordination, with the option to undertake value engineering of the overall floor or beam design.
For the installation of metal decking or precast stairs.
We supply, install and manage proprietary edge protection systems, safety netting, mansafe lines & HAKi stair access towers reducing the risk of working at height. Our operatives are fully trained and certified in CombiSafe edge protection systems, as well as traditional tube and fitting style edge protection – working in compliance with EN 13374. Our safety netting is manufactured in accordance with BS EB 1263-1.
All of our safety netting riggers are FASET qualified at NVQ level, hold IPAF and CSCS skilled operative cards – allowing our work to comply with the strict standards of BS EN1263-2 and BS 8411.
In addition, our experienced installers provide bird control solutions to protect areas against nesting and fouling. We can provide the most effective solutions for pest problems including Bird net, post, wire, and spike systems.
With fully certified stair access installers among the team, J&D Pierce provide a comprehensive package of protective measures for working at height legislation.
We provide full-design, supply and installation of Mansafe lifeline systems, including annual inspection and certification services. The Mansafe system can be configured either as a fall arrest or fall restraint system. J&D Pierce install Mansafe systems during installation of a new roof, or to existing roofs.
